The history of the hotel goes back to 1825, when consul J.S.Gasmann rebuilt his elegant recidence after a major fire. This part is still here today together with a newer section bult in 1956. The hotel has been renovatetd seberal times in te course of the years and is now a hight standard hotel with a sense of tradition.
